Where I'm From
I am from a house and a home,
Here in Hurst.
I am from my family,
My mom, stepdad, and father as well.
Family can be crazy,
But time is something you never have enough of.
I am from people ripped away far too soon,
Never getting the chance to say all things needed,
Never getting the chance to say goodbye,
Until it was too late.
Last words said with tears,
Never to get a reply.
To some it would destroy them,
To me, it gave me a path,
A path to my future, to what I was meant to do.
I am also from books,
From far off places, all over the globe.
I am from crushes on T.V. stars,
And dreaming of living in the worlds of my novels,
Both vampires and magic alike.
I am also from dreams,
Of getting out of this town,
And making something amzing out of my life.
Lastly I am from fear,
Fear that I am not good enough to achieve all that I have set out to do,
Fear that even if I put myself out there,
Everything will blow up in my face.
Now, at this moment I make a vow,
Fear will no longer control my life,
I will no longer come from fear,
I will come from all that I have said before,
My home,
My family,
My saddness,
My books,
and above all;
My dreams.
Fear will no longer control me, I will go beyond it and show the world who I really am,
And where I am truly from.
