Where I'm From

Where I’m From

I am from footballs,

From Adidas to soccer cleats.

I am from the negativity and doubts,

from the school record and disbelief.

I am from the hours of determination,

from flexibility and strength.

I’m from countless hours of practice.

I am from sweat, determination, frustration and success.

I am from living and training like an athlete

and never accepting defeat.

I am from adventure and courage.

I’m from the love of my family

and the time well spent together.

I’m from hauling in the big fish

and hunting the majestic deer.

I am from the life of an outdoorsman.

I’m from the powerful and complex language of music.

I am from the hours of practicing

and the big solo performance.

I am from the determination of achieving my maximum capability.

Under my bed lie the shin guards from soccer,

the one activity that makes me who I am today.

I’m from all these memories and emotions,

I am Kaden Keon.
