Where I'm From

I’m from frozen dinners,

From doing things just to say I did it,

From war stories by grandpa,

And hospital stories from grandma.

I’m from first minute drama,

And last minute projects,

From respecting your elders,

And respecting yourself.

I’m from making my bed,

And taking out the trash,

From taking the blame,

And not blaming others.

I’m from love and care,

From generosity and sharing,

From wisdom and knowledge,

And from Jesus Christ.
