Where im from

I am from El Volcan Santiaguito erupting every day, from Strawberry “Shaka Lacas” and Garnachas.

I am from the cement walls that don't stop the cold from coming in , a house full of smiles .

I am from the beautiful Huito that grows in the streets of  San Marcos, the green Quetzales that fly above it .

I am from Catholicism and light brown eyes that shine, from Abuelita Santos and Abuelito Chente and from the De Leons to Mazariegos.

I am from the Campos in Guatemala to the City of Arlington.

From “siempre echale ganas en el estudio mija”and to always give a hand as later there will be a hand in return.

I am from getting my sacraments of the catholic church, Baptism , Eucharist , Confirmation and Penance.

I'm from Arlington,Va hospital, from the Delicious tamales and tortillas.

From the special plates my abuelita Paula prepares that makes everyone chase her down for more, the special cooking skills that runs through the family.

I am from 8x11 frames to 4x6 frames, doors you enter and just feel the welcoming from everyone, a family that will never let you down.
