Where I'm From
I am from tears both happy and sad,
from memories though some are gloomy most are glad.
I am from long walks to clear my head.
I am from blaring music 'till the pain is dead.
I'm from laughs and joys,
from looking at childhood toys.
I'm from riverbanks and creek sides,
from laughing and smiling in place of the pain I hide.
I'm from tragedies never forgotten.
I'm from happiness and sadness,
and laughter and sobs.
From the great times to bad times,
I will never forget.
In my head is a never-ending film
reminding me everyday
of the things I hide.
The smiles and frowns
are all memories never to be forgotten.
