Where I'm From

I am from Uptown

From hot sausages in the jar and pickled eggs w/ seeds

I am from the “gotta give respect to get respect in my household”

From Loyalty, Knowledge, and Speaking Facts.

I am from the “father who never did nothing for me”

I am from my mother who was my father figure till her death and in her afterlife.

I am from Blazing Blossom ( to be brilliant or resplendent fields blazing with flowers)

I am from cookouts and family pictures

From Peter L. Smith and Renee P. Jones

I am from the smart mouths and weird personality

From “Keep your head up” and “ A closed mouth don’t get feed”

I’m from dressing nice for Sunday school and service at 11 am

I’m am from WASHINGTON DC where my family was born at

From Incense and Blue Magic

I am from  your Jkwan little sister and rajon niece because y’all look alike, the sweet butta who act just like her mommy when she was younger (that’s what everyone says)

I  AM FROM THE BLANKET THAT’S IN A FRAME FROM MY MOMMY FUNERAL I’M THAT LIL OLD GIRL WHO KEEPING MY MOMMY DREAM ALIVE

I AM FROM UPTOWN!
