Where Im from

I am from a place where we drink pop not soda. Where it gets cold enough to snow. I'm from Indiana. The place I'm from shaped and molded me for fifteen years, it gave me a few scrapes and bruises along the way. A few lies and fists thrown my way, they have all made me who I am today. I'm from the cross roads of America, I am from a place where Edward Scissor Hands was filmed and I'm from a place where the land is full of lakes, I'm from many places, but put them all together and it's all apart of my unique story. I'm from a place where we believe your identity is who you are, not where you live. I'm from Pumpkin Ice cream and Deer stands. I am from the long hot days on the farm, a quiet field where the deer feed. I'm from church on Sundays and Wednesdays, and a country girl at my very heart and soul. I'm from bonfires and fishin' where the good lord did his best picking. I'm from an active family, a musical and religious family. I am from the woods, the water. I am from Thanksgivings and a long line of huge butts, from Rob and Kelly, the Switzers, and the Romanelly's. I am from the tears from the laughter and the singing of harmonies. From you can do anything if you believe and always trust in yourself. I am from a music pastors' home, Assemblies of God, from mechanical bullsat church and paintball games with the church. I am from Indiana, Italy, Germany, and Native American ancestry, Chicken and Chocolate Mousse. From the marriage two weeks shy of an 18th birthday, because the love was so strong, from the birth of nine eleven being my birthday and the life stripped of joy when the drugs settled in my cousins life. I am from frames hung strategically upon the walls, from the box hidden beneath it all. I am from the letter man jacket hung in the back of the closet and the wedding dress placed right before. I am from LOVE.
