Where it began

Shut off from the rest On my own Is how I felt Emotions varying One extreme to the next No one to tell Of these thoughts No one to understand Pressure building inside Release needed Hard to find Words flow onto paper Tense muscles relax Needed outlet found Words fly around me Envelop my head Landing on paper Emptying my mind Days seem better The sun brighter Feel as if the world is mine Writing is my friend Helps me through tough times Gives me the strength to carry on and smile.
