Where is love

The word love really gets thrown around these days

As if it's lost its meaning and that's not okay.

To love is to be a protector or a shoulder to lean on,

To love is to build someone up and make them strong.

But these days, people have got it really confused

They say they love you right after physical abuse.

They think "I Love You" makes up for all the hurt

When really "I Love You" is just losing its worth.

In a healthy relationship you should feel no pain

Only mental, physical and spiritual gain.

Don't settle for a mediocre "I'm sorry"after disrespect

It'll only get worse if it goes unchecked.

When two people come together and start to work as one

It is then you will know a healthy relationship has begun.

Where there is honesty, loyalty and genuine care flows

A healthy relationship will plant its seeds and grow.
