Where is my angel?

A tiny red man on my shoulder

but where is my angel?

these thoughts have taken over my mind.

With my hands in my hair, he shouts again.

"You can't do this!" "You will fail!"

he heckles and laughs, wags his pointed tail.

Where is my angel?

Day to day my demon is strong

Enough is enough, maybe I will fall

No! I must stand tall.

"Ha, you dare have hope, i'm your only friend"

he shouts again

no one listens, no one cares

It's over for me,I know I can't

"You must give up" No I can't

"You will never win!" Yes I will

"You are not strong!" Yes I am

I refuse you demon of mine, Just go away please

I cry

that  night he is quiet, is he gone?

Silence is bliss,

With a smile on my face, i think.

Absent angel of mine, I have found you.

My faith, My hope, My perseverance

My angel is Me, I just needed to see

that nothing is greater then positivity.
