Where My Thoughts Go

Higher than the clouds,

Beyond the atmosphere,

As far and wide

As the universe we know,

That’s where my thoughts go.

Romantic,

Comical,

Helpful,

Philosophical,

These are the majority

Of my thought’s categories.

Over Thinking,

Romantic thoughts,

About a love story inside my mind,

And one day,

Me, in a wedding dress,

A beautiful bride with a handsome groom.

Laughter Filled thoughts,

To lighten a friend’s deepened frown.

Helpful and caring thoughts,

To be of use to a friend

In need.

And philosophic, serious thoughts

About myself;

Who I want to be,

What I want to be,

How previous conversations

Could have gone,

And reasoning and losing

Anger I have gained.

All together,

These are the thoughts

I have everyday.

Where do my thoughts go,

You may ask?

Do they stay in my mind,

Flying and soaring around?

Some do stay in my brain,

But others flow

From my head to my pencil

To the notebook

Made of pages and pages

Of paper.

My thoughts go here,

To a thing I couldn’t live without,

My space,

My unjudged

free-range writing space,

My thinking space,

My journal.
