Where Is Satisfaction?

As I continue the road of life, the river of satisfaction runs dry

The mist dissipates and the air becomes thin

I drift in and out of consciousness, no sense of pride in my veins

Satisfaction ran within me but it loses its taste

My motivation to retain the satisfaction I need

Maybe it will take my mind off of the pain I’ve been feeling

The pressure in my heart gets higher and higher with every day that passes

And the hunger for this satisfaction remains as a famine

Addicted to the life I want to live takes to me to these dreams

A voyage amongst the greatness I want to complete

But then I open my eyes with the sense of defeat

I feel safest when I’m asleep, Nothing goes wrong

A nightmare entails the movies I want to be on

I awake and the rolling tides of life drown me

I lose my luster my skin turns white and my eyes darker

If people had my eyes they’d see nothing but the darkness

We try to kill time but time is killing us

My age makes me wonder if the satisfaction will come

As time rolls by

We die remaining curious

I’m trying to swim in the river, and not drown like anyone else

I can’t keep swimming the distance is too much

But I tell myself you have to swim another day to see what happens next

Satisfaction no satisfaction as I see another day, my curiosity remains kept.
