Where She Lays
Blonde cascades with in my finger tips.
Pale skin that contrast with her ruby lips
as the skin comes off in tiny strips.
Which causes my sanity to slip.
My hand feels small while devoured by her's
as we whisper "I'm forever your's."
My one and only truthful cure.
My mind she allures
even when her actions are obscure.
Freckles spaced across her pink tinted face.
She made my heart race
With her simple embrace.
We were never out of place.
She my queen and I was her ace.
But I learned that I wouldn't be forever your's.
When I was too late finding the razors in your drawers.
So as I stand in the chilling winter air
after dusting the snow from where you lay here.
Like I would when combing your hair.
Delicate to the touch as my fingers press against your name
on the stone which it is engraved.
I begin to think about our first kiss..
How I felt utter bliss.
How now I miss
the way you behaved.
"Stay at rest my love and I'll come soon."
I'll say as if I'm speaking to you.
"You know my words are true."
Then my fingers wrap around the 'V' necklace you gave me.
"Maybe now as you watch me, you'll finally see."
Tears slip from my eyes.
"My love wasn't a lie."
