Where Summer Went

The torture of these walls,

echoing your name.

The memories stay here,

frozen in time.

Each on as clear as when it happened.

To the world,

this is a room.

But to me,

my world

begins

and

ends

in this room.

Time is reflected

in shards,

glinting off a broken mirror.

The scent of roses lingers.

And I’m trapped.

In a space with no times,

And a time with no space

I wish you could have stayed.

I wish you could have stayed.

But you floated away,

Like leaves in the wind,

and I stand here in the snow,

wondering where summer went.
