This Is Where We Start

Wake up same time

Classes start 7:45am bright and early.

Were in the same classes everyday,

We sit by our friends to make some fun,

Our teachers push us every minute of class.

But for a minute we zone out,

That is the time when we can dream.

Some are taking college classes,

While others are just trying to get by

The school is filled with teenageres and young adults

Some say it’s a beehive,

Others just call it their starting point.

But this is where we can zone out

This is where we dream of what we could become.

The dreamers from the doers

That's what separates us from the others.

High School it’s practically a horse race,

Very short

Time goes by seconds by seconds

It’s a clock tick tock, tick tock, in the sort

If you blink you’ll miss everything.

Twinkle lights oh the glorious way of this life,

But I must remind you of what we did here.

We lost our focus just for a minute

And we dreamt of what we will become.
