Where Were You?

You said you would always be here for me. You said you would never leave me. You were my role model, my best friend, my father. I believed you. I trusted you. You said you would always be here. But where were you when he broke my heart? Where were you when he tortured me for months? You were nowhere to be found when he ripped my heart to shreds. You said you would always be here for me. You lied. The only thing you cared about was that damn bottle. Now, you are no where to be found because that bottle took your life. You will never be here. You are gone.
