Where would I be without Curiosity?

I dream about skydiving
Veins clenched with adrenaline
I wonder if I would be alarmed
Or if I would be jovial

I often think to myself
How did humans
Learn to make fire
Was it something they witnessed
Or was the thought inspired?

What gave the founding fathers
Courage to design a new country
Where people were free
And British rule would never exist

I ponder over how I came
To love Jesus- my savior
Was I born into this religion,
Or was I aware that he was my creator?

Then I wonder
How would I know-
How would anyone know
Without curiosity?

It's what inspires us
To create extraordinary things
Curiosity calls us too
Take a leap of faith and spread our wings

This is the one thing
I cannot thrive without
Because without curiosity
We will not figure out

A cure for cancer
Or who we really are
How to stop racism
Or how to end diseases

We will remain stagnant
The human race would not grow
With curiously absent
Magnificence would go unknown
