While Mom Prepares

The golden color hooks the hungry eyes

That leer and beam into the stretched noodles;

The dinner plate contains this food, a prize

That I attained by training two poodles

I take a whiff and I feel heaven here;

I want to jump the wait is slaying me

And I cannot endure, to be sincere,

Because I'm starving like a young baby

My mouth has drool as I await flavored

Chicken on top of creamy sauce that gleams

In light; how I rejoice at this savored

Dinner I feel like I will burst and scream.

But finally the torrid plate is mine!

And I just gorge my heart out, how divine!
