While You Weren't Here

While you weren't here I cried every night
Slowly slipping away out of sight.
No one knew and no one cared.
I just sat here alone and scared.
You broke my heart and changed my life
Gladly stabbing me with a sharp knife.
Now I sit here alone and scared
Waiting to see if anyone cares.
Slower and slower I sink deeper into myself
While the girl next to me brags about herself.
Why you left? I do not know
Sometimes I sit here hoping you'll show.
Knowing you were always ashamed
Tells me that something about me needs to change.
You still don't show and I know you don't care
Sucks that I'm stuck here alone and scared.
Scared to love
Scared to want
Scared to move a single foot
Where'd you go? I do not know
Now I'm hoping you'll never show.
