Whiles of the Devil. Part 1

1 Peter 5:8                  New English Translation

8 Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion, is on the prowl looking for someone to devour.

Whiles of the devil

Satan cannot enter in my the Holy Place and

The Holy of Holies is beyond his grasp

For here is where God’s Spirit resides

And He surely has my spirit with Him

Secured and protected throughout time

The Eternal and the Infinite here confide

Satan’s manipulation is settled in the outer court

There my body and soul are exposed and tested

His power is strong within the flesh of sorts

And where all his intentions are slyly nested

Here he entices me to live by matters of the soul

Instead of following the way of the Holy Spirit

Influencing directly my own thoughts and feelings

As he renders me helpless to hang on to parts of me

To live for the admiration of selfish  trophies and goals

And constantly he temps me through wheeling-dealing
