Whimsical Rules

Oh whimsical rules Make us look like fools We prance around To make them proud Do we get a reward, no Just the pain of putting on a show To make those whimsical rules laugh They put us on a job, a staff Oh those whimsical rules To make us look like fools But we still follow them Picking flowers by their stem Just to put a smile on their faces Running at different paces Tripping and falling Forever wanting Approval and jewels From those whimsical rules Never to be Set free From chains of smoke History will be re-wrote To applaud those whimsical rules That make us look like fools They rule the day And shake our way These whimsical rules of ours
