With whiskers long and silver

With whiskers long and silver, bent with time Green eyes glow with a penetrating gaze Meow so loud in sound, a pleasant chime And luscious coat never fails to amaze White belly and paws she proudly displays Though ever-formal in tuxedo black We will be friends for countless coming days Bonded by multiple scrumptious small snacks A full round bowl ensures her running back She eats her meal with relish and great speed So quick in fact may cause a heart attack And when complete now hungrier indeed And as she purrs I hold her in my arms The perfect cat, I’m captured by her charm
