The Whisper
Lying here awake in a dream
with nothing but me and the dark
a whisper crawls towards me
in swift breaths it speaks
making my skin ripple
The thoughts it brings me
with fear and remorce
creeping through my veins
though ive done wrong
My sins it holds
the crimes i've commited
all in the palm of its hand
ready to reveal what i've done
As it breaths again
the dark engolfs me
seaping deep into my pores
soaking my skin
Grasping at my soul
stealing what is mine
ripping into what i have left
till theres nothing but a bloody carcus
The whisper tells me of you
it gnaws at my emotions
screaming that i caused this
feeding me lies that i believe
you caused everything here
your own guilt and agony
the scars that you bare
caused from your mistakes
Corrupting everything around you
forcing people to believe in your lies
coaxing them into your ready trap
scaring the ones who step into it
It breaths to me more lies
feeding off what fear i have left
forcing me to believe what ive done
stealing what sanity i still have
loseing strenght to fight
my eyes close to find comfort
only to feel the whisper against my cheek
letting me know theres no help
Its deathly grip wont release me
it breath grows sharper
the darkness gets colder
and i grow weaker
thoughts of being lost in the dark
the thought of never leaving
of never finding comfort
start flooding my head
The howl of the whisper grows louder
my body aches as the darkness hardens
my head filled with fears
slowly a tear falls
my eyes open
my cheeks are stained
i sit up and realize
It was only a dream.
