Whisper To The Well
why am i living so far below
why am i not walking in the truth my heart knows
why do i wallow in the darkness that follows me
around and around 'til for light i'm screaming
why do i wander so far away
why don't i just linger in peace instead of running astray
why do i still tear with such lonely agony
over and over 'til only your face i want to see
i feel i am drowning
dry
dying
of thirst in here, this desolate desert
you are the oasis
but no figment of my imagination
no hopeless shimmer to the lost wanderer
the pain is so great i can only whisper to the well
i have no strength to cry out to the deep for the springs i need
i must search to find You, i know
hoping, even at my crawl, You find me
