The Whispering Leaf

I remember as if it was yesterday

which it was I was opened my eyes

to stop the fire, and that is when I

seen the leaf fairy. It was a solid

brown fairy that was able to blend

with the tree and leaves, a solid brown

fairy that is able to blend in with the

trees and leaves, I bend down to pick a

purple leaf off the ground. I pick the

purple leaf off the ground with both

hands only to hear it say “put me down”

and I ask the question “who said that”

looking around for somebody else but

there was no one, and then I hear

“in your hands”. So I open my hands

and see the leaf fairy while I was saying

that “I was sorry but I have never seen a

purple leaf before” she said that “it was OK”

and then she told me that “most people never

pay attention to something beautiful they just

break it apart to keep it as a souvenir killing

us leaf fairies, and then there is you one who

is with nature”. So that is when I decided to

take a picture of the purple leaf fairy before

taking a deep breath of air and letting it go,

so it can be free once more so I can sit here

once more and connect with nature once

more to hear the whispering leaf once more.
