Whispers

The wind and willow whisper Relating their own forgotten lives Away from this Away from this The rabbit and rooster rush Leaving their own remembered memories Away from them Away from them What to do with all the time Living on nothing But a dime Our minds give us no hope But a sad solemn dope I wish for more I wish to hear I wish to hold The whispers in the wind The differing thoughts of a different kind The escape that other species have found I wish to hear them I wish to hold them The whispers of the wind and the willow
