Whispers from the Deep

Surface skin-in deep,

Where wayward westerlies and creatures reap

In the eternal depths of the ocean, resides a darkness veiled from sight,

Above the waters, a paradisiacal realm bathes in celestial light.

She fears to dive below, wary of the unknown,

Avoiding the potential harm, reluctant to leave her comfort zone

She ventures into the sea, uncertain of what's in-SHORE,

Perhaps her perceptions hold a truth to explore

Tears trickle down her face, like wax from a candle's taper,

Desire pushes her forward, yet fear tries to trap her

At last, she grapples with hesitation,

Waves crash, sunlight casting a weary sensation

Is she prepared for the depths of the oasis?

A nudge from a companion tugs her heart near,

“I got this,” she thinks, banishing any fear

Headfirst, she takes the plunge, with much appraise,

All is well, with a plastered smile that firmly stays

For a while, she thrives, face adorned with glee,

Yet, encounters creatures, lurking in the sea

Unaware of their dark motives and sinister schemes,

She swims onward, chasing elusive dreams

Deeper she dives, into the ocean's embrace,

A shark-finned shadow, a sinister chase

Whispers ripple about a new clown-fish in town,

And the looming monster she's rumored to be, renowned

The shark, a predator of insecurities, preys on the weak,

Life seems bleak, as she succumbs to what they speak

Solemnly she swims away, drowning in "ocean blues,"

Others swim, upholding negative views

The weight of judgment grasped onto her shoulders like an unwelcome friend,

casting a dark shadow over the lightness of her soul

A void tries to swallow her whole, dragging, twisting, binding,

Hatred's magnitude grows, towards a whirlpool she's finding

Gravitational force pulls, she's ready to give in,

Far below, nowhere else to begin

Done, perished, no care, a bottomless pit,

The whirlpool swirls, unaware, trapped in it

Lost in the memories tainted with hatred,

Lost amidst rumors, a web of lies serrated

Lost, especially herself, in the swirling mist

Slashed around, the surroundings obscure,

Nothingness engulfs, except one enduring lure

A single light persists, the sun in the abyss,

A glimmer of hope illuminates the vast emptiness

With immense force, she pushes forth,

Contemplating who she truly is, finding her own worth

Through swirls and turbulence, she perseveres,

Emerging from the depths, shedding all fears

In her mind, doubt is but a distant notion,

Reaching the bottom, a triumphant motion

It's scary, yet she must complete the quest,

Seeking goodness among creatures that manifest

Creatures here are rare, unlike any she's seen,

She discovers her herd, her flock, serene

Welcomed with warm, embracing arms,

None mock her, for she too bears unique charms

Amongst the rarest, she finds acceptance and love,

Her differences are celebrated, like a gift from the above

In a realm of joy, she found her place,

Secure and cherished, embraced in grace.

But shadows lingered, haunting her mind,

Past wounds reopened, cruel and unkind.

Even new friends couldn't ease her plight,

Their warmth couldn't banish the endless night.

As pain grew stronger, she sought release,

Closing her eyes, longing for peace.

In a volcanic crater, she finds her fate,

Sinking into darkness, sealing her into an unfortunate state.
