white couch

I got a bit of blood

on your white couch

I restrained myself

From feeling too guilty

Too scared-

I was successful in doing so

But  I still needed to be restrained.

It was just a thumb nail,

pain underrated

and a little

bit

of

blood.

I knew you would notice , and you did

and you restrained yourself,

you were succesful in doing so

But it was still necessary that you were restrained.

We both bite our fingernails

and the skin around them.

You have always bled so much better than I,

so neatly

so frequent

But our teeth stay closed,

and our jaws stay clenched.
