White Dust
White dust could represent so many things
For some, it could be the sand of their favorite happy place
For others, it could be the addiction they have no intentions of breaking
For me, it is the ashes
How could I have not known?
It’s always the people we think are the strongest
They soon become weak and tired
Tired of the lies that they surround themselves with
I am weak.
Being in a pew in a room filled with people who loved you most
felt so unreal.
When people say I’ve changed, it’s because I’ve experienced loss
Loss of my hero, my best friend, my father
I did not know how to go on living without you
I struggle everyday to keep a smile on my face
I’m then reminded of old memories with you and my struggle is no more
I wish I could have continued memories further with you
White dust could represent so many things
For some, it could be the sand of their favorite happy place
For others, it could be the addiction they have no intentions of breaking
For me, it is the ashes
