White Horse

From the moment I first met you, I thought that it would be You and me together; Happy and free. You and me forever, I guess I couldn't see; That you didn't care; At least not for me. For years I rode on my white horse; In my own world, just you and I. A world in which you loved me, But this world was just a lie. In these years of deceiving my heart, I only made it easier for you to tear it apart. I saw that other girl, the one that you Held close in your arms, I thought it couldn't be true. In an instant off my white horse I was hurled; Along with my heart I was thrown into the real world. I don't know when I'll be able to start Picking up the shattered pieces of my broken heart. I love you, it's that simple don't you see? I don't understand why you don't love me.
