White Walls

My mind runs blank,

By words written into the walls

that surround me

My cage, a box of white walls that holds

my past, future, and my darkest of secrets

My soul that is hidden from the seeing eye

When people watch as I stare at the blankness

around me staring back at me as if

I had lost my soul to the white walls that run blank

Is my soul blank like the white walls that mock me,

or do the white walls do simpily that, to mock my

blank mind that runs through my blood and body.

White walls, why do you mock me so?
