The Whitest Night

The light beamed on her,

Her beauty that was dancing with hurt.

White clothes that would shine so bright

Would only hide the scars that came out at night.

The words she said talked purity,

Only she knew she was an incongruity,

People saw grace and beauty as far as they could tell,

But the mirror showed the girl an empty shell.
