Whitewall

Location

There is a Wall which

like any other wall

stands tall and strong

seven days of the week

and it's got a history of

casting small Shadows

over doorways that put their doormats

just where they don't belong

but it's a Wall without

Color; because

Color

means Something

means Having Perspective

and the potential for a strong definition

(Strong like the black line of a corner

that separates the Walls from their infinite White)

but there are no Corners

because it’s only a wall it’s only a form a Tall block of

cinder or concrete or soon to be ash

(a figment-like plane of terrestrial damage)

embalmed, Brother, in the mason stone of white

but no: to answer your question

This wall has no Color,

and it takes no stand-

except to be whitewashed-

by a Thousand Dirty Hands

Hypocrisy: how self-introspection drives me to recognize it, to write about it, and to change.

Unfortunate, isn't it, that hypocrisy seems to be a more common theme than does peace, faith, or love?
