Whithin

Every day we see faces,

Wandering hearts behind a veil.

They meet us in the hallways, in the restrooms, and the streets.

Each face keeps locked inside

A secret completely its own;

A secret with laughs and fear and screams and tears

Exploring, but alone.

A hidden story beneath every fearful fault.

A tale left frequently untold

Familiar faces, but phasing eyes: a window to whithin
