Who am I?
Dear world,
I carry the life’s weight on my shoulders.
Who am I?
I am the one who helps God’s pride and joy walk the Earth.
Doctors, Lawyers, Artists, Athletes, Actresses and Actors, Models, Youth Leaders, Preachers, and Pastors, that was me.
God’s dream I helped into reality.
Who am I?
I’m constantly degraded by men but yet I carry them.
They make my looks and body into a joke.
But yet, it made them.
Strong, Black, and Beautiful, Yep that’s my anthem.
Who am I?
This cold cruel world could easily eat me up and spit me out if I let it.
Many of us do.
We let them whisper in our ear everything we wanna hear, then they take advantage of us.
Who am I?
I can use my brain to out smart most, my body as a weapon, and my strength to prove my point.
And my beauty, I don’t let go too easily.
I’m handy with make up but my natural beauty makes me, me.
Who am I you say?
I’m one of God’s earthly creations.
I Am A STRONG BLACK WOMAN WHO NOT ONLY TALKS THE TALK, BUT WALKS THE WALK.
Sincerly,
Precious McField
