Who am I?

Who am I?

Am I my father's daughter?

Or my mother's solider?

Am I a stellar student ready for the world?

Or the disappointment I was born to be?

Am I genuinely happy or is it a mask to keep those around me pleased?

Am I really that mean or do I just want something to make my personality stand out?

Do I really believe that I hate myself or is this something I tell myself to become a stereotype of edgy?

Am I the black girl that is too white to be black?

Am I the black girl who can't take care of her hair?

Do I want to be a follower because I get tired of being lonely without invitations?

Do I believe I'm good enough?

That is one question that has an answer.

No.
