Who am I?
I keep myself to myself and only those who have witnessed the humorous fallacies that bind a man to a name such as Klutz, Wimp, or Freak
I am the one who takes not the road less traveled but the road unnoticed
I am the one who flies with his feet, racing with Hermes on clouds of, not cotton, but fur of rabbits and all things white and pure
I am the one who strips his body of both clothing And flesh not to be naked but to create a vision of what makes someone a person. Their true essence
I am the one who fights, not the power, but those who wield it in times of turmoil for the gain of themselves and others alike through transgressions of self
I am the one who crosses the road as a jaywalk expecting Barney Fife to slap me in a cell of bed and no bathroom
I am the one who controls inner reality when heads are lain and children may fly and chew gumballs raining from a chocolaty heaven of which they dwell
I am a frightful day that comes to light when the little girl cries because she wishes to see that one person that makes her smile with wonder like she’s at the fair with lights and games and the “smallest horse in the world” that everyone wants to see but doesn’t want to be fooled out of a dollar for.
I am the jester of folk with more money than those that Robin Hood and his men stole from
I am the crutch under a man’s shoulder who, while defending a sibling of five from some older wretch, someone cowardly took a pipe and beat him, letting the insignificant child go free, as the broken boy hoped and sacrificed for
I am he who is known by only those who have traveled the journey that few men as I have dared, knowing full well they would be who they could actually wake up in the morning to and just exclaim, wow
Who am I? Join me in the ranks of fellowship and let’s find out together
