Who Am I?

Who Am I, you say?

Behind all these Instagram and Facebook filters,

Behind the make-up foundation and glossy red lipstick that runs upon your lips when we kiss.

Well for starters, I only wear make-up on special occasions.

Who Am I behind these 200 Instagram likes and 2,000 Facebook friends?

For I am nothing but a lost burdened girl.

I am Latina so my attitude will trigger faster than a bullet that twirls.

I have a mean face in public and my tears don’t stop when I’m alone.

I sit in the corner of my cold bedroom floor,

But to the public I’m sitting on a golden throne.

Lady red they call me

For some I’m Killer Queen,

Because I once made the mistake of setting the image

 Of someone I can’t be.

To few I am weak, To many I’m strong.

I won’t spend a life time proving them wrong.

Life is an illusion, don’t give a try.

Darling,

Never run faster than your guardian angel can fly.
