Who Am I?

Who am I?

I am a mother of a beautiful girl

A mother who somehow still feels like a girl herself

Trapped by the emotions of her past

Trapped by her own judgments

In the mirror what reflects is a person who is unattractive

A person who is nothing

A person who is unintelligent

Looking from a different perspective

Who I see is a person who is beautiful

A person who is smart

A person with faults but a person of good will

A person that matters

Day by day I remind myself of who I am

I am a strong, intelligent woman who is capable of anything I desire.
