Who Am I?

I am confused

What I try to make this world believe, is not who I am

I am lost

Inside myself I can't find the real me anymore,  who I am...... Who am I?

The world may see the mask of the smart pretty girl who has it going on.

I see someone who yearns for someone to hold

I am me

I may not have found my true inner self, but I know one thing

I can take anything life throws at me

Abandonment     Lies     Failure     Pain

I can take it all and still smile

Because I'm still me

I'm still here, the same I have always been

And I like me

Without the mask

Without the makeup

Nothing can break these walls I have built

I stand strong

To prove I have nothing to loose

I have always had my back

Mostly made the right decisions

And without the filters and the lies

I love me

They see the true me in glimpses

And it's hard for them to accept that I'm not perfect

But neither are they

And that's ok

Because mistakes build who we are

And my mistakes,

Support my future

You ask what I am with no filter

I am a girl

Who is insanely crazy and amazingly practical

I am extremely bad tempered and helplessly forgiving

I am a combination of fire and ice most people can't stand

I am a mystery

I am a lock without a key

And I am a hopeless romantic who is afraid to fall in love

I am a small town girl who has found strength through poetry. I want to share my deepest secrets and most brutal thoughts for the world to see.
