Who am I?

I am from everyone knowing everyone

from newports to loosy

I am from the 2 bus and the 4 train

Where 12 years old look like 18 years old

I am from raining days and sunny days

from Fall, Winter, Spring to Summer

I am from violence to get together

from shopping to stealing

from restaurants to “we buy gold”

I am from a family

where I play a role as a sister,

daughter, and aunt.

I am from the big apple,

from a lady that greets the terrorist

I am from big lights and lots of stores,

I am from long walks

to perverted guys.

I am from nice style to people asking for change.

I am from a home that smells like food

from sundays morning coffee smell

to late night chicken smell

I am from a 2 bed apartment

where I share a room ,

I am from a generation where fame is important

from likes and exposing boost up your popularity

I am from girls getting attention by taking half naked pictures

from girls being called “THOT”

to being judge because of your interest,

I am from racial profiling,

from getting stop and risk ,

I am from a place where trusting too much can kill you

from trusting no one

I am from getting money which is the number one goal
