Who Am I?

I know my name

I know my story

But who am I?

Am  I this person

So cold, so distant

Who can't let people in,

Who hides behind her anger?

Am I this person

With a soft heart,

And love for the next person?

Who am I?

Maybe I'm hard,

Angry, scornful.

Afraid, and at arms length

with everyone.

Maybe I'm afraid

Of love, of pain,

Of sadness and regret.

Trapped behind my own fear,

Never to find my way out.

Who am I?

Who am I?
