Who Am I?
I am quiet
I am shy
That’s what they think
In passing by
But why oh why?
My silence lies
It shows me tranquil
As the night sky
They think I’m quiet
Think I’m shy
Think I’m just
What meets the eye
How do they know
What lies inside?
Could lurking shadows
And monsters hide?
Of course not!
With a laugh and sigh
She’s too quiet
She’s too shy
What about
The days I’d die
For a chance
To get outside
To change
My introverted stripes
To extravert
And change my life?
But that’s rubbish
She’s so shy
She’s so quiet
She’d rather die
Well here’s the end
It should be tied
In a neat bow
To satisfy
But those things don’t
Just happen in life
At least I tried
I’m sorry, goodbye.
