Who Am I?

Who am I?

I'm everything I ever wanted to be.

I'm the person I looked up to.

Or am I?

Some days I'm everything I wished and worked for...

Other times I can't believe who I've become.

What defines a person anyhow?

Is it their wealth?

Their ability to communicate with others?

Their knowledge?

Where they live?

Who their parents are?

Their last name?

No.

It’s their smile,

their effort,

their ability to be happy.

Passion and compassion;

that is what makes a person.

How they put their passions into action,

or their compassion for others.

I strive to be that kind of person.

That is who I want to be.
