Who am I?
I stare at the computer screen.
The clock is ticking in the background.
The model sat there, starining back at me.
It was lifeless and cold, lacking any character.
How can I be a different engineer,
how can I stand out from the rest of the crowd?
I rotate the model over and over again.
All I could think was, "Who am I?"
"Who am I?"
"Who am I?"
Am I the aspiring engineer I always hoped I would be?
Am I just a man going through the motions just to please my parents?
How can I define myself in this world?
Well that's just it I can't. I just can't.
There are too many people hoping to be unique in this world.
They want to be the best engineer, they want to be the main character in this story.
I asked myself again, "Who am I?"
I am the NPC.
I am the engineer that other engineers beat.
I am the supporting character.
I am the supporting actor.
I get the girl.
I work hard, but I am not the best.
I am the average.
I may do the right thing but I will get no publicity.
I am here to make the talented restless.
I am here to push them to rise to the challenge.
But I can never steal the show.
