Who am I?

Who am I? (Slam poetry by Janre Buys written on Masada) Who am I? Well, thats a good question. Sometimes I have no idea. Sometimes I'm just confused. Just when I think think I got the hang of myself, I lose control and it feels like I'm losing my soul. I'm just trying to be the best me you see? But, the question is, who am I trying to be? Who is "me"? I just want to be myself again and get out if this lion's den. I'm in a state of confusion and it feels like there is no fusion. The only thing keeping me whole is You. You keep me together, making me feel less like a lost feather. You make me feel like someone with a value. Thank you. I'm starting to find myself thanks to your love. Your love was enough to take off the cuffs that were holding me back. You have a knack for having my back. I have found my identity thanks to Your divinity. I am a child of the the most high and that's something that is really hard to deny. I just need to get rid of my mask, that's all you ask, but sometimes it just feels like a very difficult task. I can do it through you and that's nothing new Thanks to you I can live life to the fullest. I can be the REAL me. The "me", you called me to be.
