Who Are They?

There are so many words

thoughts

voices

screams

In my head

That writing them down feels incomplete

A lie perhaps

Extra information to the story

Or sometimes not enough

That leaves room for error

Or interpretation

The point is

I can't tell which is really me

Is is the words I'm afraid to say

For fear of misunderstanding?

Is it the thoughts that surround me

Outliers to everyone else, but normal to me?

Is it the voices that follow me

Threaten me, persuade me, taunt me?

Or is it the screams drowning me

Making me choke on the white noise

That only I can hear?

Sometimes I feel like multiple souls

Trapped in one vessel

Together

But not

One
