Who are you?

Who are you?

Who are you to tell me who I am?

Who are you to tell me how I feel ?

Who are you to tell me how to dress,

To tell me that I can't be in public this way

To tell me that I don't deserve my respect

To tell me that I can't make the same amount as the man I work with

To tell me that because I have these God given parts I wouldn't make it in this world.

So tell me what is it ?

What is this power that you behold over my life ,

This power that seems to give you the restrictions to my success .

This power that continues to put me in this never ending oppression.

Who gave it to you?

Who said that because you are male you are superior to me

That you are worth more than me

That I must cook and clean while you make the money.

Or what about the education that I solemnly earned in my time !

The knowledge of which I took the time out to gain so I can understand just as much as you.

What happened to this god given idea that ALL were equal to life and liberty.

To all the amendments written

To all the given opportunities in this life.

My rights are constitutional!

My happiness is far beyond fundamental!

And my equality is much DESERVED!

So please tell me ?

Who are you ?
