Who Are You?

You're curious about who I am, but I'm more curious about who YOU are?

What do YOU see?

Do you notice the Imperfections? The way

I smile my way thorugh life, but inside I'm lonely? Did you know

My family lives in another state and no matter how many friends I have, I still miss my family?

People think I'm beautiful but I don't always think that.

Everyone around me likes to paint their nails and gossip, but I like to lift weights and run.

Running is my way to release stress and stay in shape because I used to be

Fat. This caused a lot of self-loathing throughout my teenage years.

Everyone thinks I look beautiful now but they don't know the struggles I had to look this way.

"Celeste, you're so funny!" You may say, but do you know I'm afraid inside? Afraid

That no one likes me, even if they say they do? Afraid that people talk about me behind my back?

Insercurities are what these are. Everyone has them, but the question is do you notice them?

Or do you bury them deep inside and refuse to acknowledge them? After all,

No one wants to admit their insecurities but we all have them, and we should embrace our imperfections and

STOP trying to act perfect all the time, like life is all fun and games and we don't have any problems.

You're curious about who I am.

I am imperfect and trying to embrace it.
