Who Are You? -- Living with DID
Who are you? You,
You who causes pain,
Who are you? You,
The one who frightens all, who are you?
You who strikes fear in the hearts of many so calmly
Who are you? You,
You who feels nothing, expressionless, you,
You who has no face. Who are you?
You who is cold and dark and brutal. You,
Who are you? You,
Who is, but is not. You who is void, you who is A void
The embodiment of nothingness, stillness. One with no emotion.
Who are you?
You who hurts and causes pain.
You feel no joy from it, you feel nothing.
Who are you? You,
You who feels nothing
You who is nothing
Who are you?
Who Are You?
You
You who has cold hands, but the warmest of hearts
Who are you? You,
The one who helps others
Who are you? You,
You, who cries for the pain of others.
Who are you? You,
You who cares, who hurts so others will not have to
You, you that is humble, precious, and kind
Who are you? You,
You that loves
You that is loved. You,
Who are you?
Who are You?
As I look in the mirror and try desperately seeking for an answer to this question
I see not my reflection, but an image of an unknown face; I ask, “Who are you?”
The answer I receive is not that one I wished to find
For how can you not recognize your own reflection in a mirror?
Who are You?
Who am I?
